Since yesterday there any marichuanians meanly took possession of my site, unfortunately, I did not ensure to keep updating one of plugins used:) Today page works and is patched.

PS I am against the legalization of marijuana.

On Wednesday, took the stage in a national competition of Imagine Cup Software Design category. The day before the poster session was held where the judges can examine each project and talk to team members. The judges chose the five teams which took 20 minutes to present their ideas.

These were (in order of presentation):

• evolve from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan - ReACT their project, enabled to carry out various types of therapies for autism and phobias using virtual environment where the patient could cooperate through their movements with what is happening in a virtual environment
• Mutant of the Military Technical Academy in Warsaw - PULSE enabled heart rate monitor, alerting the user (and the operator - which would keep the phone so you can quickly call for help) about the risks associated with their health,
• Fteams the Technical University of Lodz - thanks to two simple webcams devised a system interpreter, translating sign language into written and vice versa, thus facilitating communication such as offices, post offices, etc.
• The Eradicators the Military Technical Academy in Warsaw - parodying TV series "House", presented a Care2 system that allows  modeling of social networks and use them to analyze the epidemic, the search unit, which will immunize such a quick defeat of the disease
• Dreamcraft the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan - at the end was presented the Soundability project, to recognize environmental sounds (eg alarm signals) and informing them on the phone screen and by vibration, it was to serve such persons or hearing impairments.

Team Fteams took first place and they will go to Warsaw in July at the world finals, team MUTANT took the second place, the third was The Eredicators, fourth place was taken together by teams evolve and DreamCraft.

Additional awards:

• Award for best designer interface for Magda Jończyk, fteams,
• Awards in the category of Internet Explorer 8 Award for teams Bluelight, Cieszak Team (the author of this article), OneTeam, Rhea and Sampi Design,
• Awards for teams fteams and The Eradicators funded by Helix Ventures.

In addition, the Ministry of Economy intends to cooperate with all teams. The Ministry has prepared a number of projects whose completion will be important to our economy.

This year I participated in the only one Imagine Cup category: Internet Explorer 8 Award.

I wrote the application monitors the game of chess (on Helion server) and informing us of our movement, allows viewing the board as well as searching for other games (ongoing or completed) and the players waiting for a partner.

On the Imagine Cup 2010 Award IE8 website you can read that my (Single) CieszakTeam team was among the winners of the Polish edition. Am May 19 I'm going to Warsaw to pick up prizes;)

Am June 1 we will know what the judges will decide in the world edition. I hope also to win some reward. Unfortunately in the category IE8 Award is not intended trip to Poland :D

Już 5 maja 2010 roku (środa) o godzinie 17:00 na Wydziale Matematyki i Informatyki UWM w Olsztynie startuje Visual Studio 2010 Community Launch.

12 kwietnia 2010 roku miała swoją premierę nowa wersja środowiska programistycznego firmy Microsoft - Visual Studio 2010. Kolejna odsłona tego świetnego produktu umożliwia programiście szybsze i wydajniejsze tworzenie aplikacji biznesowych.

Polskie społeczności skupione wokół produktów firmy Microsoft organizują w swoich miastach spotkania, mające na celu przybliżenie najnowszej wersji środowiska Visual Studio tak swoim członkom, jak i innym chętnym poszerzenia swojej wiedzy.

Jednym z miast, które bierze udział w cyklu, jest Olsztyn. W środowy wieczór będzie można obejrzeć dwie prezentacje na temat Visual Studio 2010:

• Nowości w Visual Studio 2010 - Sesja ma za zadanie wprowadzić uczestników w tematykę związaną z Visual Studio 2010, przede wszystkim zaś w zmiany, które w nim zaszły oraz wprowadzone nowości.
• IntelliTrace - nowe podejście do śledzenia aplikacji - Debbuger historyczny to narzędzie, który zupełnie zmieni sposób pracy programisty. To swoista "maszyna czasu dla deweloperów i testerów". Rejestruje historię działania aplikacji i pozwala odtworzyć to, jak doszło do wystąpienia danego błędu. Sesja ma przybliżyć to narzędzie użytkownikom.

W przerwie między prezentacjami będzie można zintegrować się ze społecznością oraz zebrać siły przed drugą prezentacją, posilając się dużą ilością pizzy :)

Wśród uczestników spotkania rozlosowane zostaną cenne nagrody o łącznej wartości ok. 10 000zł! Będą to między innymi licencje na produkty, takie jak Telerik Premium Collection o wartości 1299$, ReSharper, Nevron Chart for .NET Lite, Gauge for SSRS, CodeRush with Refactor!
